The Selectric SSE6 Soft Starter is a thyristor voltage regulator that provides maximum starting efficiency for synchronous and asynchronous electric motors coupled with various types of driven machinery.
Adjustment of power being supplied to the electric motor during start-up is based on phase-controlled motor stator voltage. Via reducing voltage, the motor starting current is proportionally reduced as well.
